Vice President/Engineering
Ben Diachun is the Vice President of Engineering at Scaled Composites, LLC in Mojave, California. He joined Scaled in 2003 as a Design Engineer. Since that time, he has performed as Project Engineer, Flight Test Engineer, Business Development Manager and Director of Engineering. Prior to joining Scaled, he worked as a System Architect and Programmer at Accenture in the Management Consulting Industry.
Ben holds a Master of Science Degree in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University. He also holds a Certificate in Technical Management from the University of California, Los Angeles. He is a Commercial Pilot with Instrument and Multi-Engine Ratings.
Ben has been a guest speaker at Stanford University and NASA. He was part of the team that was awarded the Robert J. Collier Trophy in 2005 for the development of SpaceShipOne.
